The Russian soprano Diana Schnürpel participated in the children's
music school in Lipetsk piano and singing lessons before she graduated
at the School of Music and Arts with degree in piano with honours 1997th.
In the period from 2001 to 2005, she studied with Bachelor's degree
in singing at the Choral Art Academy in Moscow with Prof. Nina Rautio.
She gave piano recitals at the Choir Academy of Arts.
She was in the years 2004 and 2005 vocal accompanist at the Choir
Academy of Fine Arts in Moscow. From 2006 she studied singing at the
Academy of Music and Theatre in Leipzig under Prof. Regina Werner-Dietrich.
She graduated in October 2010 from with her diploma. In the same
and the following year she was a finalist of Lortzing Competition, Leipzig.
She received the 3rd prize at the VII. National and II. International
Jószef Simándy Singing Competition 2011 in Szeged, Hungary. In 2012
she wcompetition, Salzburg.
She took lessons with the Wagner tenor Manfred Jung, before "The
Life of the Virgin" in Berlin and Bavaria and Frankfurt debut with solo
concerts of Paul Hindemith.as a finalist of the Grandi Voci opera singing
Initial experience she gained as a guest at the Radio Choir of MDR
and the German National Theatre and sang the role of the
Bride in Les
Noses by Igor Stravinsky on the Ruhr Piano Festival in July 2013. Since
2013, she sang the role of the Queen of the Night in The Magic Flute
by W. A. Mozart at the State Theatre Braunschweig. Since 2014, it sings
the role of Queen of the Night at the
Theatre Detmold, at the Theatre
Klagenfurt, the Theatre Salzburg and
Graz Opera and, since 2015, at
the German National Theatre and the role of the
Snow Queen in The Snow
Queen by G. A. with much appreciation Albrecht. From August 2016 Diana
Schnürpel has been a member of the Theatre Lucerne.
Her repertoire includes such roles as the title role in G. A. Albrechts
Die Schneekönigin, the title role of
Genoveva by R. Schumann, Elise
in F. Mendelsohn's Die beiden Pädagogen, Despina in Così fan tutte,
Alice Ford in Falstaff by Verdi, the soprano role in
Luigi Nono's Prometeo,
Venus and Gepopo in Le Grand Macabre by G. Ligeti, and the title role
of G. Donizetti's Maria Stuarda, which was highly acclaimed by the press.
Ms. Schnürpel is also active as an art song and concert singer. Her
concert debut was in 2012 with Paul Hindemith's Das Marienleben. She
has also sung various church cantatas, including Antonín Dvořák Stabat
Mater in Leonberg. Additional concert repertoire includes pieces by
J S. Bach, Beethoven, Brahms, Haendel, Mozart, and Salieri. An artistic
highlight of Ms. Schnurpel's career was performing Kinderreime by Leoš
Janáček with the Luzerner Sinfonieorchester.
In 2021, Diana Schnürpel was the Grand Prix winner of the “International
Music Competition Melody“(Vocal), Grand Prix Winner VII. INTERNATIONAL
ART COMPETITION, Turkey, VII International Art Competition “Art World”
(Music), Turkey, winner of the Quebec Music Competition, Voice, Piano,
Clarinet (trio) and Grand Champion 2021 Quebec Music Competition (voice),
Kanada. She won 2nd Prize in the Ensemble at King's Peak International
Music Competition, as well as the 1st prize of the MAP International
Music Competition (Voice & Chamber Duo), USA
Awards 2022: Absolute 1st Prize Canadian International Music Competition
(Voice & Clarinet), Canada and Absolut Platin as well as Grand Champion
