Nicola Raab is a prolific young director whose career has taken her
to the Bavarian State Opera in Munich, the Vienna State Opera, Zürich
Opera, the New Israeli Opera, Salzburg Festival and Teatro La Fenice
in Venice. Her most recent productions include Parsifal, a co-production
of the Estonian National Opera and the European Cultural Capital project,
as well as Thaïs at the Gothenburg Opera, also presented in Valencia
and Seville.
Other recent productions include The Barber of Seville in Regensburg,
The Io Passion by Harrison Birtwhistle for Vienna Chamber Opera and
Death and the Maiden at Theater St. Gallen. Future plans include Otello
at the Royal Danish Opera, a contemporary opera about Dorian Grey in
Bratislava , Thaïs in Helsinki, Tristan und Isolde at the Novaya Opera
Moscow and The Cunning Little Vixen in St. Gallen.
